Dr. William K. Presswood
Dr. Presswood joined the Hurricane staff in the 2017-2018 school year as a part of the Social Studies department. Prior to working at SASH, Presswood worked at Miami Beach Senior High School, Florida Virtual School, and Miami Community Charter School. He is certified to teach ELA and Social Studies 6-12.
Dr. Presswood graduated from the University of West Georgia with a BA in Psychology and MA in Sociology. He also graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a MSEd in Environmental Education, EdS in Curriculum and Teaching, and EdD in Educational Leadership. His dissertation research focused on improving the grades of student-athletes via teacher-coach collaboration. Dr. Presswood is currently completing a graduate program in Educational Law at Nova Southeastern University and looks to pursue a graduate certificate in Advanced Quantitative Methods from the University of Central Florida.
Dr. Presswood is also very active in the community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the South Florida Foster and Adoptive Parent Association, Miami Community Charter School, and Paragon Partnership. His hobbies include reading the news constantly, listening to NPR, and spending time with his children and dogs.
